McKinney Makeover Network
Current Projects

The North Texas Gateway Apartments
The McKinney Makeover Network team recently furnished a two bedroom apartment for a homeless family that was living in The Samaritan Inn, a non-profit organization that has helped thousands of homeless people in Collin County regain their independence with comprehensive programs and the help of caring individuals and corporations. The Samaritan Inn is the only homeless shelter in a county of over 700,000 residents. The family will reside at The North Texas Gateway Apartments, an apartment complex with twenty units that will be made available to Samaritan Inn graduates who cannot yet afford market value rent. The apartment is beautifully furnished and stocked with a variety of essential items.  Aaron and his 16-year-old daughter Guyler are settled in and are enjoying the comforts of their new home.  Furnishing this apartment would not have been possible without the donations from numerous kind, caring, and generous donors listed below.  Families will live in these apartments up to 18 months. When they leave, they take all the furnishings with them and each apartment will be refurnished.
